Evaluate the performance of organic and inorganic fertilizers on growth and yield of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)

A field experiment was conducted at the Agriculture Research Farm, Bhagwant University, Ajmer, Rajasthan, India, during rabi seasons of 2020-21 and 2021-22. There were Ten treatments imposed in chickpea viz., T1- Control, T2- Farmers practice (50 kg DAP ha-1), T3- RDF, T4- FYM @ 10 tha-1, T-5 Vermicompost @5 T6- RDF + 5 T7- T8- 75% FYM@ 2.5 tha-1 1.0 T9- 50% T10- 25% 5.0 tha-1. These evaluated replicated Three times randomized block design. Application (T8) recorded significantly higher almost all growth attributes plant height, number branches per plant, dry matter accumulation volume nodules yield pods seed index, yield, stover as well available nutrient status soil over control farmer’s practice. The least vales under treatment where no fertilizer used.
